Your Physical Job Does Not Make You Physically Fit... Unless You’re a Ninja

Lori Fredric

The physicality of oilfield, construction and other labor industries are often a determent to health and fitness. They consistent of long hours and increased levels of stress.

Researchers are finding that employees who worked more than 40 hours a week were significantly more likely to be obese. In addition, overweight and obese works were 26% to 45% more likely to experience injuries. As supervisors and safety professionals, it is so important to relate to the worker and help change behaviors.

What if you could learn how to turn the worksite into a ‘gym’ to reduce injuries? Employees would start the workday with mobility routines and work physical fitness such as balance, agility, flexibility and mobility, into their every day job. Who needs tire flipping when you can dead lift plywood panels, iron chic sans and bags of cement?

I want to help you incorporate worker safety with worker wellness to promote total worker health. My knowledge of kinesiology and biomechanics compliments the world of safety and health, giving me the opportunity to share new ideas and bold solutions for injury prevention. Ninja Safety is a revolutionary idea that solves the problem of soft tissue injuries by engaging all types of workers, making them smarter, stronger, agile and mobile.
