SAN ANTONIO CELEBRATES 300th ANNIVERSARY!
From historical sights and authentic culture to pro sports and modern theme parks – San Antonio is a destination city. This year is San Antonio’s Tricentennial Celebration, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be commemorated with a year-long calendar of events – as a Safety 2018 attendee, you’ll be a part of the excitement.
RIVER WALK: The San Antonio River Walk, or Paseo del Rio, is the largest urban ecosystem in the nation. Tucked quietly below street level and only steps from the Alamo, the River Walk is a verdant oasis of cypress-lined paved paths, arched stone bridges and lush landscapes. It provides a serene and pleasant way to navigate the city as it gently winds through the city center, providing millions of visitors each year with easy access to the city’s cultural hot spots, historic sites and other attractions. With 15 miles of sidewalks and paths, the River Walk provides access to museums, the King William Historic District, 300-year-old Spanish missions, hotels, shops, restaurants and a new adventure around every turn.
FEATURED NEIGHBORHOOD: The Pearl area encompasses 375-acres offering a variety of award-winning restaurants, fabulous boutiques and popular night spots. Previously the only San Antonio brewery to survive prohibition, Pearl is always full of life.
